Chapter 3

Clothes flew back and forth knocking things over, and hung on lamp shades. Nick slowly approached Brian. "um Brian, what are you doing?" He wondered. "Man, we are going to be living with Katie! Katie Daniels for almost a year, and I can't even find my nice clothes!" Brian shouted in a panic. "Relax we can go shopping later tonight ok?" Nick said calmly. "Just pick out something clean and we'll get your clothes later. But we just really need to pick up Katie right now." Nick said.

"Ok." Brian grumbled as he put on some jeans, a white t-shirt, and some Nike's. He pulled on his old blue denim jacket, grabbed a few duffell bags, his basketball, and made his way to the bus. When he came out, he caught a glimpse of all the other guys. They were wearing clothes they usually wore for photo shoots, or appearances, and were dressed really nicely.

Nick was wearing black pants, a white muscle shirt, and a tan silk shirt over it. Howie was wearing black leather pants, and a nice white shirt that showed off every bump, curve, and muscle in his upper body. A.J. was dressed in tan pants, a black muscle shirt, a tan suede jacket, and of course his trademark sunglasses. Kevin had on black leather pants, a white muscle shirt, and a black leather jacket. Than there was Brian in his big, baggy jeans, t-shirt, and old torn up jacket. "Oh crap I've gotta change." Brian said heading back for the house. "No you don't, we're gonna be late picking up Katie." Kevin said, pulling him onto the bus.

Katie looked at herself in the mirror and quickly ran a brush through her long, dark blonde hair. "I can't believe I agreed to do this." She said to herself. "The Backstreet Boys...I am going to be on a bus day and night with the Backstreet Boys! I don't know if I can do this." She thought. She was startled by a knock at the door.

"Oh my god, they are already here! They said an hour, I'm still in my robe!" She worried in a panic. She quickly ran down the stairs pushing her hair behind her ears. She peeked through the window and saw her best friend Melony Fontaine standing outside. Katie breathed a sigh of relief, and opened the door.

Melony pushed her way in and screamed a scream that could shatter glass. "uh hi Mel." Katie replied rubbing her ear. "you are so lucky, I hate you!" Melony shouted smacking Katie on her shoulder. "Ow." Katie said rubbing the same spot where Melony had hit her. "OW! You are sharing a bus with the hottest guys in the world, and all you can say is OW!" Melony shouted. "Oh C'mon, their not the hottest guys in the world." Katie disagreed as she closed the front door. Melony lowered her dark sunglasses and gave Katie an icy glare. "Ok, so they are the hottest guys in the world but really its not that important." Katie told her. "Not that important!" Melony shouted in shock. "This is probably the most important thing that will ever happen in your entire life!" She screamed. Katie paused. "Your right it is." Katie said giving in they both squealed. "C'mon help me pick out some clothes." Katie told Melony as they walked upstairs.

Melony layed on the bed as Katie dug through her dresser drawers and threw clothes out of the closet. She was now dressed and busily searching for her bathing suit. "Why do you need your bathing suit anyway?" Melony brought up as she flipped through the pages of a Seventeen magazine. She sat up and turned on the radio. "Hey its you!" Melony exclaimed. Katie heard her voice coming out of the speakers.

"Turn that off." Katie said as she quickly flipped the radio off and continued searching through all her piles of clothes. "Like you said Mel, I am going to be sharing a bus with the Backstreet Boys. This will probably be one of the most important events in the history of my life. I have to be prepared for anything and everything." Katie explained as she pulled out her black bikini from her top dresser drawer. "Found it!" She shouted happily.

"Oh crap, I've gotta go I was supposed to be at an audition almost an hour ago!" Melony complained in a panic. She was an actress. She had been in a few famous movies and was somewhat popular. "If you had an audition why did you stop by here?" Katie wondered trying to sound responsible. "Ha, and miss this major event." She replied. Katie thought about telling Melony that the guys were coming to pick her up but then again if she did they would have quite a time trying to pry Melony off Nick Carters legs.

"Uh...yeah. I've gotta go too, I'm meeting them at their place." Katie lied. "Ok well I want you to write me every little detail about everything they do, especially Nick, don't be afraid to call." Melony told her as they reached the door. "Don't worry I won't." Katie responded. They gave each other a friendly hug at the door way. "Have fun!" Melony shouted as she ran towards her jeep. Katie watched her drive off and headed back upstiars to finish packing. "I hope I'm doing the right thing." Katie said to herself as she stomped up the big wooden steps.
