Part 2
Jaws: The Bloody Nightmare

Part 2

Everyone left after the incident, and the most shook up of them was sitting on the floor of Melony's livingroom. Melony was still in her swimsuit, wet, and cold. But not from the air, cold from the chill of playing with death. She was so close. Who would have thought, who could have thought that Michelle would have tried to kill her. What did she do? To make her so angry against her? It was certainly not the fact of her bitchin Michelle out earlier, it had to be something else...But what? "What are you thinking about?" Angel's voice broke her thoughts. "I'm thinking...of how close it was...of only how in a few more seconds I would have lost conciounous." Melony stuttered out. Angel held her close to his chest, letting her lay on him. "Mmm..your warm." Melony whispered out. As soon as she said it, she almost regretted it. What had she just said? Not the words...but the way she said it. It sounded...affectionate. Angel didn't seem to notice the tone, so she brushed it away. She just layed in front of the burning fire, in her best friends arms.

Katie smiled as Brian continued to stare at her, being incredibly goofy. He was the funniest person she knew. He could always cheer her up. Her mind raced back to earlier that afternoon, when Michelle had tried to drown Melony. Hatred filled her heart as she thought of why Michelle wanted to kill Melony. She assumed it was because of the small arguement that morning, but there was no way someone could get violent over something like that. It didn't seem right. All she knew is that she couldn't have been angrier. What if she tries to hurt Mel again? Katie wondered. "Thinking hard?" Brian said, seeing she was in deep thought. Walking over to her, he slipped his arms around her. "yeah..." Katie replied absently. "Want to go for a walk?" Brian asked. "Maybe later." Katie replied staring at the wall. Obviously, he was trying to win her attention. He pulled her closer, laying his head on her shoulder, giving her puppy dog eyes. Katie finally realized Brian was staring at her, she turned to look at him. "Aw...your so cute." Katie cooed, kissing his nose. Brian grinned, and kissed her tenderly. Soon, Katie's worries and thoughts just suddenly seemed to dissapear.

Michelle stomped angrirly around Lacy's room. "How dare they!" Michelle shrieked. "Miss little prissy Mel, and miss little prim and proper I've-got-a-super-duper-boyfriend are both bitches!" Lacy just looked at Michelle in silence. The voice of Michelle seemed to give her a headache. She just kept rambling on and on and on about how much she dispised Melony, and how the incident wasn't her fault, but Melony's herself. Lacy began to wonder if her mother had any aspirin left. Her headache just seemed to grow bigger, and bigger. Michelle plopped down on Lacy's bed and just lay there. "It isn't fair Lacy! I mean ever since we became friends with these losers, I have been treated like a zero, like a nothing. I swear to god, I am so unappreciated. Why do bad things happen to good people?" She complanined. She looked pitiful, hell, she was pitiful! Lacy knew Michelle wasn't totally a good person, even though she felt what Michelle did was wrong, she still needed a friend. Even though she didn't deserve one. Plus, her and Lacy had always been best friends. Since the age of five. Now they were fifteen, and through all those years, never had one fight. Lacy's thoughts rattled through her brain. She really can be bitchy. Actually, she's always been that way, just not to Lacy herself. Lacy did have a pretty good idea why Michelle disliked Katie. She probably likes Brian. Oh well, Lacy thought, sighing aloud. Maybe Michelle will change, someday...

Angel looked at Melony, his best friend since practically forever. The person whom he has known since they were only toddlers. He remember how they used to take baths together, and spit out their veggies together. Five and up was he realized, was the best time of his life. They lived close, had went to the same schools, their mothers were best friends as well. "Want to come over my house Mel? We could do something to get your mind off everything." Angel asked her, stroking her back. Melony just looked at him for a couple of seconds, studying his features. Than, unexpectdley she laid her head on his shoulder, and answered. "Ok, but do me a favor. Tie your sister Janelle to a waterpipe or something when we get there, ok?" She asked, smiling which made Angel laugh. His sister Janelle was very protective of him.
For some reason, she never like Melony much. Its not like Mel was his girlfriend. Angel thought. Looking at Melony once again, he felt his heart tingle. He had to admit, that somehow, he was secretly starting to like her. Could I really be feeling this way about my best friend?" Angel wondered. Does she feel the same way? Oh, dammit Angel, get a grip. Why would she feel the same way? We've slept over each others houses billions of times, we've told each other everything, from our upmost wildest fanatisies, to how we feel about the opposite sexes. We've seen each other throw up, pull out weggies, saw each other naked several times. But why would he now suddenly start having a thing for his most treasured friend? It had to be a conspiracy.

Michelle, and Lacy walked towards their sailing boat "The Sizzler." Lacy was silent. Michelle had no idea of why either. She's probably angry with me. Michelle thought. Just like everyone else. But for some reason, Michelle couldn't bring herself to admit what she did was wrong. Was it? It was Melony's fault. Michelle thought angrirly. She shouldn't always try to be so nice. Trying her best to ignore the anger, she sucked in a deep breath as they walked down the dock. The fresh smell of salty ocean air felt delicious. "Amity" is really the greatest place to live. Her and Lacy got into the small boat. "Which way are we going to sail?" Lacy asked. "North." Michelle said absently, treating Lacy as if she were a flunky. "Untie the ropes." Lacy nodded. Michelle set the sails, than a couple of minutes later, they were off. Sailing down the bay, the shore getting farther and farther away. Biting her lip nervously Michelle suddenly felt cold. Something told her to turn back, but something else made her ignore it. But the quick urges to turn and head back kept returning. Damn you Michelle. Don't worry. What could happen? A voice popped into her head. Feeling reassured, Michelle put on a smile, holding onto the rope on the sails and just stared out at the ocean.

Melony felt herself gulp as she and Angel walked into his house. "Angel...are you sure she won't attack me again?" Melony asked shakily, referring to the last time she was over at his house, spending the night. The two of them had decided to tease Janelle. by making moaning sounds as if they were having sex. Since his mom was out that night, Janelle gave no hesistation in chasing Melony around the house with a metal baseball bat. She shuddered just recalling the moment. "Don't worry. I'll protect you." Angel said with a grin.
That made Melony smile a little. Walking into the living room, she felt her heart drop to her stomach. Sure enough, there was Janelle. Looking up from her "YM" magazine the interesting look that was on her face turned to an icy glare. Melony just looked at the floor, fidgeting with her fingers. "Um, come on Mel, lets go upstairs and get some stuff together. Than we can go for a boat ride." Angel said, taking Melony's hand. Melony smiled gratefully. Janelle just frowned, returning to her magazine.
Angel led her upstairs to his room. He let the both of them in, shutting the door. Looking around, all you could basically see was Alanis Morrisette pictures and CD's. His walls were covered with Alanis pictures. Angel had a brown, ugly ruggedy couch in the corner of his room, along with a black dresser, and a huge waterbed. Melony pulled away from Angel and sat down on the big ugly couch. "How many times have I told you to get rid of this ugly old thing?" Melony said to Angel. Angel just shrugged, sitting down next to her. "Well, we escaped the evil Janelle." He said jokingly. Melony laughed a little, with a wide smile.
"So do you want to stay here, or really go along with my sorry excuse, and go for a boat ride?" Angel suggested. Something inside Mel said to go sailing. As if it was a distress call for help. Melony looked into Angel's dark green eyes. "Ya, lets go sailing." Melony agreed. "Ok!" Angel exclaimed, gathering up his outing bag. He basically kept everything he would ever need in there. Extra money, first aid kit, snacks, and water bottles, extra clothes in case he got stuck out there on the ocean. Along with a picture of him and his father. It was taken the day after he was born. With his father holding him with a happy smile. He took it everywhere with him. "Lets hit the road, or should I say...water." He laughed. Melony just grinned. "Your really weird, you know that?" Melony told him for the billionth time. Angel smiled. "I know."
They got to Angel's boat, which was basically like any other boat, but had sails with it, and a huge "homing area" that included bunks and a kitchen, with a little bathroom. Angel got on board, throwing his bag onto the deck while Melony untied the ropes. He helped her up, than started the engine. They drove on the water smoothly, the way the boat always sped across the bay. She looked around, seeing that Angel was heading North. Melony sighed, still pretty shaken up about earlier. But one more glimpse of Angel, and all her worries dissapeared.
