"Kevin, oh my gosh! It's so good to see you!" Melony exclaimed, hugging Kevin tightly. He laughed. "Wow Mel, it sure is great to see ya too." Kevin responded, then kissed her deeply. "Hey hey! Watch those hot lips of yours Train." Nick said, pulling Melony away. Kevin chuckled, smiling. Melony was grinning from ear to ear. Nick laughed, playfully punching Kevin, which only made him laugh harder. "Hey! S-Sorry. Friendly kiss, that's all." "Hey sweetie." Howie said, hugging her. Melony returned the hug, not letting go. "I'm so sorry about Caroline, and that I couldn't be at the funeral." Melony said. "It's alright." Howie said as they gave each other a friendly kiss. "Oh look...it's Katie's baby duck." Melony cooed, embracing Brian. He grinned, wrapping his arms around her in a bear hug. "Ugh... Brian...breathe...need to breathe..." Melony gasped out as he hugged tightly. He grinned, kissing her cheek. "I missed you, and your annoying antics." Brian joked. "Hey, just cause you could never be as annoying as me." Melony replied. Brian laughed at that. "Hey Mel, lookin more gorgeous everyday." A.J. said, hugging her and kissing her cheek. "Not so bad yourself Boner. I missed you so much." Melony said, holding onto him. "How I love it when you say those words to me." A.J. flirted, with a goofy grin. "So, how's Amanda?" Melony wondered, referring to A.J.'s girlfriend, Amanda Latone. "Not so well, we had a fight, and we're not speaking. So I guess we're breaking up." A.J. replied quietly. "Awe, I'm so sorry to hear that." Melony said. "Ya well, we didn't care much about each other anyway." A.J. told her. Melony smiled and hugged him again. Then said loudly, so everyone could hear. "It's good to have all my big brothers back." "Well, it's good to have our little sister back." Howie said. "And we all know what little sisters are for..." Brian said micheviously. "To pick on!" A.J. yelled, throwing Melony over his shoulder. "Ahh! No A.J.! Put me down!" Melony shouted, struggling. "To the pool!" Nick exclaimed. "To the pool!" Brian mocked, showing his teeth. "Whoa! A.J, nice view!" Melony said as A.J. ran out of the backyard of Brian's home. "Ow A.J.! Stop running! Your ass just damaged my nose!" Melony shouted, rubbing her nose. That just made everyone crack up. "Ok Mel, time to get wet!" A.J. said, but couldn't throw her in because she was struggling. "Here bone, let me help you." Kevin said with a grin, helping Melony down. "Ok, you grab her feet." A.J. told Kevin, grabbing Melony's hands. Kevin grabbed her feet, pulling her up. "No! No Kevin! A.J.! Nick, help me!" Nick laughed, folding his arms. "Nope, this seems amusing." He said. "Some boyfriend you arrreeeeee-!" But it was to late for her to finish, they had already let her go. Everyone was laughing hysterically at the sight of her hitting the water. Especially Kevin, who was on the poolside rolling around, pounding his fist against the cement. Melony surfaced, sputtering. She brushed her hair back, looking at all five guys laughing. "Y-you thought that was f-funny?" Melony stuttered out, not used to the coldness of the water. Howie nodded, laughing louder at the sight of her. Angrily, Melony swam to the ladder, pulling herself up. "Oh laugh it up you hyenas!" Melony said coldly, before walking back into the house. As she left, everyone stopped laughing. "Uh... do you guys think we went a bit to far?" Nick asked. "Wow, she looked mad." A.J. said. "Nah, I thought she was screamin for joy." Brian said sarcastically. "I better go check on her." Nick said, walking inside. About five minutes later, Nick found Melony up in one of the guest room bathrooms. He slowly opened the door, and saw Melony pulling off her shirt. "Nick!" Melony exclaimed. "Hey, it's alright. I've seen you more naked than that." Nick said, walking in, and shutting the door. But as he could see, Melony put a towel over her chest anyway. Nick smirked, walking up to her. "Are you mad because we threw you in the pool?" Nick wondered. "Maybe." Melony simply replied. Nick wrapped his arms around her waist, but she pulled away. "Mel, you can't be mad for something as stupid as that." Nick told her. "Yes I can." She said. Nick sighed, pulling her back to him. "I'm sorry for not helping you out or anything." Nick apologized. "Sorry won't cut it." Melony replied. "That was cold water." "I'm sorry, but I wasn't after all, the one who threw you." Nick pointed out. Melony growled in frustration. "Nick, just leave me alone." Melony ordered. "No, I can't." Nick responded. "Why not?" Melony snapped. "Because I love you." Nick said, kissing the top of her head. Melony sighed in frustration. "Don't you love me?" Nick wondered. "Nick, of course I love you. You just have those cute little annoying antics that drive me bonkers." Melony answered, turning to face him. "I can't believe everyone thinks I'm annoying." Nick said. Melony smiled. "You are. But I still love you anyway." Melony told him. "So does this mean I'm forgiven?" Nick wondered. Melony laughed slightly. "Arn't you always?" Then she softly pressed her lips against his own. * * * "Howie, keep your hands to yourself!" Michelle Thomas exclaimed, slapping his hand away. "Ya Howie, save that for the bedroom." A.J. said. "Oh yeah, you should talk!" Howie responded with a smirk. Melony watched the bickering threesome with amusment. She had known Michelle since grade school, which Michelle was down in Florida on school vacation. She went to CU Boulder, in Colorado, and was studying in pyschology. Katie, Michelle, and Melony basically were all best friends. They were always there in time of need, and she considered them the closest people she had, after J.C. "You know, you guys are so cute together." Kevin said with a smirk, popping a red cherry into his mouth. Michelle glared at him. Kevin and Michelle never really got along, which was a minor problem for the group. "Shut up Richardson. Your words disgust me." Michelle snapped. "Whoa honey, no need to get upset, just giving you a compliment." Kevin said in defense. "What do you mean by that?" Michelle wondered, anger creeping into her voice. "Well, just the fact that Howie is the best guy I've ever seen make a move on you compared to all those other horny bastards you date." Kevin simply answered. Michelle stared at him in shock. "Are you saying I have bad taste?" "Ok, ok guys. Calm down. I say lets all forget about this, and get up there and party!" A.J. said, referring to the dance floor. "Hey man, mind if i borrow your date? I need a dancing partner who can groove." A.J. asked Nick, pulling Melony to her feet. "Not at all, But I get yours." Nick agreed with a grin, grabbing Michelle's hand. She giggled, letting Nick lead her to the floor. A.J. swung Melony crazily around on the dance floor to the upbeat music. Melony laughed at all of A.J.'s funny faces he attempted to make while dipping her. "Were you born with this much energy?" Melony wondered, breathless. "What do ya think?" A.J. teased, starting a little dirty dancing with her. "Your such a horny little bastard." Melony joked, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You don't know the half of it." A.J. told her with a grin, continuing on with dancing. "Wow, I've never seen Mel so motivated." Michelle said in surprise, watching A.J. and Melony, crazily but perfectly dance to the music. "Oh she is, you should see her in the bed-uh... the..." Nick started. Michelle laughed. "Sorry, I gotta a big mouth." Nick said with a blush. "It's ok, I'm not a kid, I understand what you mean. So how was the tour?" She wondered. "Boring, I didn't see Melony for six whole months. It was pure torture, but you know how the whole music buissness is." Nick replied. "Ya, I've been there." Michelle said with a sigh. Michelle had been a singer, but got ripped by her manager, and lost a lot of money. "So how's Brandon?" Nick wondered, referring to her boyfriend. "Oh, you mean my EX- boyfriend?" Michelle asked. "Ex?" Nick asked in confusion. "Yes, you wouldn't think I would actually accept a date with A.J. if Brandon, and I were still an item, now do you?" Michelle said. "Oh, what happened?" Nick asked. "He moved to West Africa. He finally got his degree, and is down there working as a paleontologist. We couldn't keep it together since he was leaving so far away." Michelle explained. "I'm sorry." Nick told her. "Don't be." She said. A minute later, a slow song came on. "Ooo! I love this song, my turn Nicky." Kevin said, bursting between the two. The song "I swear" by All 4 One came on through the speakers. "You got it Train." Nick said, walking away. Michelle upset, allowed Kevin's arms to wrap around her waist. She was displeased by having to interact with him, but something, a small part of her always seemed to give into him. "So, miss me?" Kevin wondered with a stupid grin. Michelle sighed inwardly, letting herself place her hands on his shoulders. "Don't get so hung up on yourself." Michelle told him. "Oh, I know you love me. Just seeing this sweet little face of mine makes your heart melt, and you know it." Kevin told her. "Richardson, your really asking for it." Michelle growled out as he took his hand gently placing it behind her head, letting her lay her head on his shoulder. "Ooo...I'm scared, really, you frighten me." Kevin said sarcastically. "You are so annoying!" Michelle told him, raising her voice, pulling away. "Well, your no picnic either princess!" Kevin shot back. "Just leave me alone." Michelle said, stalking away. Melony laughed slightly. "What?" A.J. wondered. "Looks like Michelle and Kevin had another battle." Melony explained, as they watched Michelle walk angrirly back to the table. A.J. smirked, entangling his fingers into Melony's long, brown hair. "Wow, you have a long neck." Melony said with surprise, her head on his shoulder. A.J. cracked up. "Out of all the conversations in the world, we talk about my neck?" A.J. said. "Your right, we need a break." Melony said, pulling away, dragging A.J. back to the table. "Hey guys, what's up?" Melony asked, jumping onto Nicks lap. "Just checkin out the hotties." Howie replied. Melony grinned. "Too bad Brian didn't come." Nick said. "Awe, ya miss your playmate?" Melony teased. "Ya, I-Hey!" Nick exclaimed. Everyone at the table was cracking up. "That was smooth." A.J. said, laughing. "You are so mean to me." Nick whined, pursing his sweet, rosy lips. Melony felt her heart melt. "Your just so adorable." Melony cooed. Nick smiled widely at that. "I know." He said proudly. "Come here you little whiner." Melony ordered, grabbing his collar roughly, and pressed her lips against his own. They kissed passionately for what seemed like forever. He made her feel so good. When they pulled away, they had four shocked faces looking at them. "Melony, you spoil the kid!" Kevin exclaimed in disbelief. Nick seemed to be in a daze. Suddenly, Melony felt her body being lifted in Nick's arms. She squealed, telling Nick to put her down. "Bye guys!" Nick said quickly, throwing a ten on the table. Nick ran away from the table with Melony in his arms. He burst outside with Melony clinging tightly to him. "Nick! Where are we going?" Melony wondered. He looked at her, stopping in front of his car, fishing for his keys. "To a Holiday Inn!" Melony laughed sexily at that, as he opened the car door, throwing her in. * * * "Guess what Brian?" Kevin said, coming into the kitchen of his house. "What?" Brian wondered, while leafing through one of Nick's comic books. "Donna just called and informed us that we're going to a fund-raiser." Kevin replied. "Really? Why would she do that? I thought it was our time off." Brian said. "Well, they were low on celebrity's and thought that we could perform a couple of songs, and basically chit chat with all the rich tycoons daughters, so they would get more donations." Brian took another sip of his coffee. "Ah...works every year." Brian pointed out. "Ya well, I actually don't mind. I love doing these things. Helping kids is so great." Kevin put in. "Ya, it gives you such a warm feeling." Brian replied with his eyes twinkling. "I'm gonna call Katie." "Ok, you do that." Kevin responded. * * * Their kiss grew deeper as he ran his hands down her side. "I love you..." Nick whispered out, pulling away, eyes still closed as Melony opened her own licking her lips. A smile played on her lips, and she took his hand, pulling him inside her house. "Let's go." She said. He obdiently followed her inside closing the door behind them. "I am pooped!" Melony whooped out, falling onto her couch. "How is that?" Nick wondered, sitting down beside her. "Well after that workout you gave me last night, I don't have much energy left!" Melony answered. Nick laughed. "Ya well, I feel sorry for the bed, I'm still paying for the repairs on that." Nick put in. Melony grinned lying her head on his chest, cuddling close to him. "You make me so happy." Melony said with a sigh of pleasure and happiness. "Do I?" Nick asked. "MMmmHmmmm... When I'm with you, I'm the happiest woman alive." Melony replied with a smile. "Awe, your making me blush." Nick said with a wide grin. "Your cute when you blush." Melony told him, tweaking his nose. "I'm always cute." Nick bragged, grinning from ear to ear. Melony laughed at that. "Don't let that ego of yours creep its way in front of me!" She scolded. "Yes mommy!" He yiped out. "But its true, you make me happy." Melony said, becoming serious. Nick licked his lips, looking deep into her eyes. "I love you so much Mel...," he whispered out to her, stroking her head. "Your everything to me. Your my world, my other half. You ARE my happiness." Nick told her lovingly stroking her face. "Your so sweet to me." Melony said, becoming coy. "What I say is true. I only have eyes for you." * * * "Is my jacket straight? Please tell me my jacket's straight!" Howie said in panic to his friends. "D, calm down! Your jacket looks fine. What are you so nervous about anyway?" A.J. wondered. "Well, you never know what could happen at these things! There will be so many important people there." Howie replied. "Katie Holmes...Steven Speilberg...Babyface...Mariah Carey...Martha Lewis..." "Cindy Crawford..." Kevin chimed in. "Y-Ya! H-Her too! Isn't purple her favorite color!?" Howie half begged/pleaded to the guys. "Yes Howie! Purple is her favorite color. Now, just breathe. There might be a lot of people there. You never know, you might not see her." Brian explained. "Yes I will! Each and everyone of us, all celebrity's HAVE to say something on stage about the charity, and it'll be on National TV, so I can set my VCR for record before I leave so I can make sure I remember the first time we fell in love and met." Howie blurted out. Suddenly, a well-suited Nick casually waltzed into the hotel room, unaware of anything. He was fixing his tie, dancing over to the full length mirror, humming dreamily. "I'll be your dream...I'll be your wish...I'll be your fantasy!" He sang out happily. All four sets of eyes were on him. After adjusting his tie he turned around finding four faces of odd confusion. "What?" Nick wondered. "Why are you so happy?" Kevin wondered. "Well, do I have to have a reason?" Nick asked. "Yes." All four Backstreet Boy voices said. "If you MUST know I'm just happy, because of well...life! I have the greatest friends in the world," Nick started, wrapping his arms around Brian and A.J.'s shoulders. "A fabolous career, a loving family, the most wonderful girlfriend in the world, and I'm healthy! What more could a guy want?" Everyone looked at him, thinking for a minute. "Wow, you know, your right!" Brian exclaimed. "But there is one thing that you were wrong about." "And what is that?" Nick wondered. "You don't have the greatest girlfriend in the world, I do!" Brian answered. "In your dreams!" Nick shouted, before the big white pillow smacked Brian in the face. * * * Melony scanned the crowd for Nick. She had come with J.C. and planned to meet up with Nick. "It'll be impossible to find them in this crowd!" Melony complained. "Don't worry Mel. We'll see them during the speech's ceremony. Come on, let's go to the ballroom. We'll loosen up with a few dances." Melony looked at him and smiled. "Ok." She agreed. J.C. smiled, slipping his arm around her waist. She chuckled, leaning against him. As they emerged into the huge room it was surprising to see only about fifty people instead of hundreds of them meshed into one room. The familiar, soft melody of "I don't want to miss a thing" came on. J.C. stopped in front of her, holding out his hand. She smiled slightly, taking it. He swiftly pulled her into his arms. They both slowly swayed to the music. "I feel so special." J.C. said with a 100 watt smile. "Why?" "Because I'm dancing with the most gorgeous woman in the room." J.C.responded. Melony blushed at that. "Your such a flatterer." Melony said. J.C. smirked, pulling her closer, so their bodies were pressed together perfectly. Uneasily, Melony laid her head on his chest. J.C. laid his chin on top of her head. He than started singing softly. "I don't want to close my eyes...I don't want to fall asleep, cause I'll miss you baby, and I don't want to miss a thing." Melony closed her eyes, listening to his soft voice, giving into the moment. She breathed in deeply, softly moving her fingers around the back of his neck. She could feel his body tense slightly against her own. Suddenly, she had a split urge to feel his lips on her own. And couldn't seem to fight the thought. What's happening to me? She wondered.
